NIQUI CARTER / PHOTOGRAPHER


Niqui Carter, is a freelance photographer living and working in New York City.
Starting out as an intern at International Center of Photography, she assisted the curator with ONLY SKIN DEEP online exhibition. Niqui then worked for Mary Howard Studio which designed sets for photographers such as Annie Leibovitz, Steven Meisel and Steven Klein. Over the last two years, Niqui has worked for still life photographer, Robin Broadbent and is currently working for Darrin Haddad.


Originally from Minnesota, Niqui graduated from University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts and Photography. She also attended Parsons Paris, and after completion of the photography program her work was featured in the prospective student catalog. Her work has also appeared in Minneapolis College of Art and Design VISIONS MADE REAL.

Niqui is a portrait photographer who is interested in the texture of social identity beyond race or ethnicity.
